Sunday Lazy Sunday

Well welly well...

Dammit, Intervention just so happens to be a re-run and I'm forced to actually pay attention to my new little project. Well...at least HALF pay attention to it since we still have "Entourage". Jefe's actually decided to take an interest in one of MY shows, so it's on at the moment.

Anyway, it's the end of a long, loooong, LONG weekend. Yeah, it might have been just two whole days, but I don't know if it's the time change or a totally open schedule, either way, time just crawled it's little hiney away (sidenote, I just googled "hiney" to make sure I had the proper spelling, and THIS is what came up-I suggest reading the second definition for the oh so wrong pleasure).

So back to the weekend...friday night traffic was super rad due to the awesome Halloween Haunt at Knott's, which makes for an absolutely unbelievably frustrating trip down the 91 when all I want to do is go home and have a martini. Sleep in Saturday was lovely since I had my Jefe in bed for once in I don't know how many weekend mornings. Made a little super strong bean coffee and a fritatta with way too many eggs. I was feeling very domestic as the latter portion of this entry will more clearly convey. Anyway, we had planned on a later matinee of "The Prestige"; however, we got a last minute invite to a Halloween party, so decided to skip it. Instead, I used the party as an excuse to buy a totally useless blue wig (with which to base a last minute costume around) and some false eyelashes. My devil in a blue dress costume and Geoff's completely wrong Steve Irwin costume will be available for your viewing pleasure at a later date.

I woke up with a surprisingly small hangover considering the 4000 different types of liquor I chose to indulge in last night and decided to finally wash my hair after 3 days while Jefe got his 13th hour of sleep. We watched "Ray" before heading off to National Compact Disc where there just happend to be a going out of business sale (by the way, I would go into a deep criticism of the movie at this point, but I'd rather continue boring you with more useless information about the CD's). So we ended up with Jeff Buckley (haunting and beautiful), the Silver Sun Pickups, Tori Amos (Under the Pink, which I had lost years ago, Babyshambles, and much much more which I'm sure you and everyone you know is dying to hear about. Really, there was some good stuff and I had a lot of fun listening to it while I made roughly 6 dozen toll house cookies tonight (oh yeah, and jefe had to got to the store twice to get the proper ingredients...I realized halfway through that I needed one, yes ONE more egg...goddamn fritatta). Geoff took us to dinner, so I figured I'd repay the favor with some sugar.

Long or not, we had a good time together this weekend. It's really nice sinking into married life and I'm glad I have the memories of times like these to remind me what it's all about.
